Ibiza, Spain

The clubbing capital of the summer also offers beautiful beaches
and the occasional spot of quiet if you look hard enough. Slip away from the throngs of tourists and slip into a pastoral haven that feels shockingly quiet compared to the buzz of its clubs.

Leaving the tourist trail allows you to discover a

plethora of languid provincial towns, restored farmhouses, unspoilt sandy beaches and remote rocky coves wherein you can walk, ride and swim to your heart’s content--and you haven’t truly seen Ibiza until you’ve paddled into its secret caves and secluded beaches by kayak. Of course none of this downplays the deservedly legendary nightlife, but champagne-soaked dancing is far from the only sport on the island.
